COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Provide a helping hand to each other. Embrace the opportunities to serve our communities.

Want to know what the culture of MCSG Technologies is like?

Don’t take it from us. Take it from the numerous employee quotes & testimonials about working in various locations, in vastly different occupations, all under the family umbrella of MCSG Technologies.

Danielle Palmer (left) recalls her time during 2020’s community involvement for Cheyenne Mountain Repeater (a non-profit organization that provides communication to the local area).

“What was so amazing about the volunteer effort is that we had the opportunity to do tower maintenance and the views are just phenomenal. The communication ties into National Emergency Management (FEMA, Aire Force, local and emergency communications) and allowed for professional development as communications is a mission area that falls within the job that I am doing.

Overall, this was a fun experience and a great opportunity that wouldn’t have been possible without MCSG giving us the opportunity for our volunteer day and allow us to step out into the community with a gun spin to our daily lives.

Judi Tomich an A/V Engineer about MCSG Community Involvement

“I have been a contractor for 22 years and have never worked with a team as community focused as the one I’m on with MCSG. From food donation to fund raising, the people I work with really care about the others. It isn’t just people, either. One of the most heartwarming things I’ve experienced is the rescue and release of baby owls. Yearly their mother’s roost on our building’s roof, and occasionally a baby will fall from the nest.

The owls are rehabbed locally and returned to our building for release into the wild. It is very fulfilling to work with a team who really cares about the people (and animals!) around them.”

TEAMWORK & COLLABORATION

Unity is strength. When there is teamwork and collaboration, we can accomplish tremendous things.

“The camaraderie is evident while working with members of MCSG.  Open communication is paramount, and we can speak with our site leads and Program Manager at any given time.  The open-door policy makes it easy to ask questions, offer feedback, and receive feedback whenever possible.  It is a healthy working environment and a pleasure to work with my colleagues.”

MCSG Leads the Way in Innovative Space Modeling and Simulation

At MCSG, we pride ourselves on using innovative ideas and maintaining a customer-first attitude as the foundational qualities that drive our operations. One of the key components of our work is operating the 392 CTS’s Distributed Mission Operations Center – Space (DMOC-S), which provides space modeling and simulation (M&S) support to customers worldwide.

We recently had the honor of directly supporting three simultaneous exercises, providing over 20 non-kinetic M&S scenarios to 2,679 joint Special Operations Forces from all Services and two partner nations preparing to deploy for real-world operations across every Combatant Command (CCMD). Our team’s expertise was put to the test, and we are proud to say that we rose to the occasion, delivering exceptional results for our clients.

During the preparations for the East Africa-based 303rd Expeditionary Rescue Squadron (303 ERQS) real-world operations, we identified and fixed a persistent issue with the 303 ERQS’s ability to receive specific communications. Our fix actions resulted in 40 pilots, crew chiefs, and ground personnel qualified on the use of the Air Force Tactical Receive Suite (AF/TRS) system, greatly reducing personnel recovery planning and operations timelines.

In the Pacific Area of Responsibility (AOR), we provided the first-ever space M&S support to the PACIFIC KEKOA exercise’s Personnel Recovery Cell (PRC). We incorporated lessons learned from previous exercises and built out the Combat Survivor Evader Locator (CSEL) Web Server Application Trainer (CWSAT), a new capability for the PRC. The 613 AOC/A33P stated they had received “some of the most valuable and realistic CSEL training we’ve been able to get during an exercise.”

Within the U.S., we developed 240+ OPIR/ELINT space M&S injects during an Air Operations Center Command and Control (AOC C2) to refine processes to defend North America against cyber, cruise missiles, and other air, space, and cyber domain threats. Our team’s innovative ideas and initiative eliminated a five-year issue with a system-wide Space/Intel Cell data latency to Red Flag players at no cost to the customer.

Our commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction drives our work at MCSG. We are proud to provide world-class space modeling and simulation support to customers worldwide, and we look forward to continuing to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

“The following is another example of how our 3IS II team continues to provide outstanding service to our customer and the warfighters who rely on OL-A’s (Operating Location -Alpha Operations Flight at Schriever AFB) M&S (Modeling and Simulation) capabilities.

In January 2021, three of our 3IS II Space Integration team members (John Marley, Kenny Cross, and Tim Estes who support STAR Delta, OL-A (formerly, DMOC-S)) teamed with the 176th Operations Support Squadron from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Anchorage, Alaska to conduct a multi-domain combat training event for the Alaska Air National Guard.  Our team leveraged OL-A’s in-house space M&S capabilities to simulate space electronic intelligence threats and provide combat survivor evader locator data directly to the cockpits of airborne HH-60G Pave Hawk’s and HC-130J Combat King II’s flying from JBER, Alaska.

In Jan 2021, our Space Integration team members who support the Space Force’s new STAR Delta

This training event exercised JBER’s CSAR capability of approximately 40 personnel (HH60, HC130, SERE, and Intel) in the Arctic over three days.  When asked about OL-A’s M&S support, the distant-end customer of OL-A’s M&S injects, Maj “Buck” Wiese, 176 OSK, Chief of Weapons and Tactics, stated, “We did also accomplish some mission pilot upgrade training in the HH60.  Thanks to you and your organization for the support.  John [Marley], and his team, provided first class exercise simulations, as usual.  Look forward to working together more!”

As you can see, our team continues to provide outstanding support to our customer and to the greater warfighter community. Like you, I appreciate everything they do, and look forward to seeing more great things from them.”

TIME TO CARE FOR FAMILY

Taking time to be at home with family & being able to work a flexible schedule provides you a great work/life balance.

“Having time to care for family is very important, especially now more than ever.  COVID-19 has highlighted the importance of this for many families.  My family has been very fortunate to avoid any COVID-19 exposure so far, but my father passed away recently after an extended battle with a different illness.  The flexible work schedule with MCSG allowed me to spend precious time with my father and helping support other family members during this trying time. We all have limited amounts of time to spend with family and being able to work a flexible schedule provides a great work/life balance.”

“I am a giver by heart.  I have always been the girl on the playground that would take kids that scraped their knee or had gotten hurt to the office for care.  It has always been in me to have compassion and pity for others.  A little over a year ago I made a life changing decision to donate one of my kidneys to my Mother-in-Law.  I never imagined that I would be a living organ donor.  When I had decided to do this, MCSG supported my decision to become a kidney donor.  They allowed me to start this journey by giving me time off to care for my family. I was off work for 6 weeks and during this time, I was very thankful for the huge support MCSG gave to me and my family.  I couldn’t have done this without the help and support of MCSG. They allowed me to take time to care not only for my family, but for myself as well.”

MISSIONS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Ensure expectations are known. Take pride in delivering your best and the results will equal trust in every situation.

Space Flag

WHAT IS THE MISSION?

Space Flag’s mission is to ready space warfighters to defend the United States’ and our coalition partners’ interests in space. Our vision is to the be the premier exercise for training space forces.

HOW DOES IT MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

SPACE FLAG is an annual exercise designed to prepare USSF Guardians for national-power conflicts that extend to on-orbit space assets. The exercise was born out of the 2018 National Defense Authorization Act and is crucial in ensuring USSF Guardians are always prepared and never caught off guard in battle.

At MCSG, we recognize the importance of SPACE FLAG and go above and beyond the once-a-year NDAA requirement by executing this highly competitive and extremely intense two-week exercise three times per year. With the pacing threat of China, we must be ready to develop and test doctrine, concepts of operation, and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).

The sole focus of SPACE FLAG is to develop and test tactics and techniques that will help USSF Guardians maintain their competitive edge in a space conflict. Months of planning go into designing exercise scenarios that specifically test the capabilities of USSF Guardians and encourage innovation in developing the nation’s next great competitive advantage in space.

During the exercise, US and coalition partners share intelligence, practice space operating tactics, and work through combat challenges. For some Guardians, this is their first time interacting with and sharing specific combat tactics and techniques with coalition forces.

The scenarios take Guardians beyond their technical and competency limits, challenging them to think outside the box and adapt to new and unexpected situations.

At the end of each scenario, Guardians conduct a debrief capture lessons learned and review their performance during the exercise. This helps the Guardians become sharper, more resilient, and better prepared for the future fight. Participating in SPACE FLAG enables USSF Guardians to gain invaluable experience and knowledge that can be applied to real-world scenarios.

We cannot overstate the importance of the highly skilled professionals who protect and defend our military, commercial, and civil assets in space. As potential adversaries increase their threats, it is reassuring to know that USSF Guardians are on the front lines, dedicated to keeping us safe. By executing SPACE FLAG, we are building resilience and preparedness for national-power conflicts in space.

“I am constantly in awe of these brilliant space warfighters and am amazed by their abilities to face the toughest problem sets we can throw at them. These are the people responsible for protecting and defending us in space today and in the future as our potential adversaries continue to increase their threats.”
