Modeling & Simulation

MCSG facilitates the understanding of systems, without testing or real-world operations, by creating simulated environments and modeling system behaviors that meet operational needs.

United States Space Force (USSF)

Contract: Innovation, Integration, and Information Services II (3IS II)

On 3IS II, MCSG provides modeling and simulation support to the 392nd Combat Training Squadron in support USSF advanced warfighter exercise program.  We provide Distributed Mission Operations (DMO)/Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) activities for advanced Air Force, Joint and Coalition warfighter training. MCSG currently works within a Joint National Training Center (JNTC)-certified modeling and simulation center tasked with providing a realistic, combat-representative training environment designed to simultaneously support multiple events integrating internal and external systems, sites and simulators in an interoperable enterprise architecture supporting numerous local and distant end customers. MCSG hosts USSF Space Flag and participates in over 25 tactical to strategic level Service and Combatant Commander exercises annually. MCSG has detailed event planning processes, tools, job aids, checklists, and templates that codify our daily work in identifying training requirements and translating them into operational and technical activities. We design complex warfighting scenarios, based on Combatant Command (COCOM) and theater operations and support plans, reinforced by complex modeling and simulation to provide the warfighter the best combat -representative training environment possible. MCSG is knowledgeable on AF, Joint and Coalition warfighting operations, training guidance, policy, doctrine, tactics, techniques and procedures. Our decades-long support to advanced warfighter training has produced very refined yet comprehensive cradle-to-grave event planning and execution processes. We operate many of the very same Environment Generators (EGs), over the very same networks, working the same interoperability activities integrating internal and external simulators and facilities into an enterprise architecture in an integrated facility mirroring real-world space operations. Our exercise planners, system operators, communications specialists, system engineers, and mission specialists provide a synthetic, realistic combat training environment for Space Guardians and users of space capabilities around the globe.
