Training/Exercise/Wargame

MCSG supports the warfighter by providing an operational strategy that simulates realistic warfare to include training and participating in the implementation and execution of real-world exercises.

Contracts

United States Space Force (USSF); STARCOM Space Delta 1 (DEL 1), 392d Combat Training Squadron (392 CTS), Schriever SFB, Colorado

Contract: Innovation, Integration, and Information Services II (3IS II)

On the 3IS II contract, MCSG provides the following Training/Exercise/Wargame support for the United States Space Force:

Schriever Wargame Series: MCSG Technologies provides support to the Schriever Wargames Series, which includes coordinating, designing, developing, and executing the wargame to include creating scenarios, orders of battle, and toolkits. We include an analysis and an assessment approach and recommend potential participants, both individuals and organizations, to ensure we have representation from all needed communities. MCSG provides additional Wargame support to include:

  • Coordinate, design, and develop wargame scenario, orders of battle, and toolkits, including an analysis and an assessment approach and recommended potential participants, both individuals and organizations, to ensure participation from all needed communities.
  • Provide expertise at all levels of space planning and operations, to include facilitators, recorders, assessors and mentors.
  • Design and facilitate workshops that directly contribute to establishing products that directly tie into the wargame design (e.g., a communication workshop that defines the communication infrastructure for the actual wargame) and provide facilitators, assessors, and recorders with experience participating in political-military game-seminars conducted for senior Government and/or corporate leaders.

392nd Combat Training Squadron (392 CTS): MCSG Technologies directly supports the USSF through expert exercise planning, coordinating managing and execution to the Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM) exercise program. MCSG supports over 25 Service, Joint and Combined exercises annually and is responsible for planning and executing USSF’s Space Flag series designed to train the tactical space operator in space combat operations. MCSG further supports the broader Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) community through the integration of space operations into other Service and Joint exercises. The 392 CTS mission is to train warfighters as they expect to fight; maintain combat readiness at home or deployed; conduct mission rehearsal in an environment as operationally realistic as necessary; and provide support to operations.  MCSG provides direct training and exercise support to the 392 CTS:

  • Integrate Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) systems to immerse the warfighter in realistic simulated operational and combat environments.
  • Evolve program that links training for space forces by providing inputs for end-users through advanced training and exercises.
  • Exercise the space operations training continuum beginning with the console operator at an AFSPC/USSF operations squadron and ending with the warfighter in theater.
  • Focal point for the integration of space capabilities into Service and Joint level exercises, as well as scheduling and execution of DMO-S training exercise and mission rehearsal activity for USSF weapon systems. DMO-S training architecture provides space systems operators with the capability to train and exercise in a simulated environment. It resolves long-standing space training deficiencies and integrates performance-based training systems, advanced modeling and simulation capabilities, and allows space operations crews to safely practice for real-world events.
  • Accomplish fully integrated advanced training and mission rehearsal of global awareness and command and control by linking space assets to the warfighter.
